Jerick McKinnon said that he had something special planned for his homecoming game back in his native Atlanta.
On Monday, he stated, “Back home. Home city. Hopefully, I can score a touchdown. I want to do a celebration. … I’ve got something in mind.” and he did not disappoint when he reached the endzone on Sunday against the Falcons.
McKinnon scored on a two-yard pass from Case Keenum to give the team a 7-3 lead over the Falcons early on in the second quarter.
He made sure he broke out the famous “Dirty Bird” dance in the process.

McKinnon was 6-years-old when the Falcons went to the Super Bowl in 1998, so he is familiar with one of the more famous celebrations in league history, and he put it back on display wearing another team’s uniform.
