Carson Wentz isn’t guaranteeing anything just yet, but he’s confident the Philadelphia Eagles can be the class of the NFC East in 2017.
“We have high expectations around here,” Wentz said Thursday during an interview on 94 WIP, according to CSNPhilly.com’s Dave Zangaro. “We hope and we expect to be playing into January and then to see what happens. I think that’s the biggest thing.
“Our goal is to win the NFC East, and we believe we have the guys to do it.”
Climbing to the top of the division won’t be easy for Wentz and Eagles.
The Dallas Cowboys opened as +115 favorites to capture a second straight NFC East crown, per Odds Shark. The rest of the odds are as follows: New York Giants (+250), Eagles (+400), Washington Redskins (+400).
“We’re the Cowboys,” quarterback Dak Prescott said at the ESPYs on Wednesday. “We’re gonna win the NFC East.”
